Fayetteville, N.C. – Fayetteville Police Department officers responded early March 15, 2026, to a shooting on the 1500 block of Graystone Road that resulted in one fatality.
Emergency Medical Service personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, but the individual succumbed to their injuries around 4:05 a.m.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
Preliminary investigation indicated the incident occurred during a house party, when an altercation broke out and shots were fired.
The Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation, while the Aggravated Assault Unit initially responded.
