Fayetteville, N.C. – The Fayetteville Police Department recognized several members for earning advanced certifications through the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
Officials said Officer Shivers received the Intermediate Law Enforcement Certificate, while Officer James and Lt. Newland were awarded Advanced Law Enforcement Certificates.
The department noted that these certifications reflect years of service, training, and professional development. The Intermediate Certificate requires a minimum of four years of full-time law enforcement experience and at least 30 education and training points. The Advanced Certificate requires at least nine years of service along with 60 education and training points.
Department officials said the achievements demonstrate a continued commitment to growth, knowledge, and service to the community.
