Fayetteville honors Miss North Carolina Preteen with proclamation for Young Readers Day

Fayetteville, N.C. – The City of Fayetteville, North Carolina, has recognized Miss North Carolina Preteen Kinley Mulligan with a formal proclamation in honor of Young Readers Day, observed on May 7.

According to city officials, Mayor Colvin presented the proclamation during a recent ceremony acknowledging Mulligan’s efforts to promote literacy among young people.

Officials said Mulligan created “Kinley’s Reading Club” to encourage children to read for enjoyment and help foster a stronger love of reading in the community.

City leaders praised her initiative, noting that youth-led programs like her reading club help promote positive educational engagement and inspire other students to participate in reading activities.
